Oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit de Kaapregio van Zuid-Afrika Oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit de tropen, brengt deze plant de frisse sfeer van zijn tropische thuisland rechtstreeks in huis. Locatie en lichtomstandigheden
- • Idealiter een lichte tot halfschaduwrijke standplaats met indirect zonlicht
- • Vermijd direct zonlicht op het middaguur om de bladeren en bloemen te beschermen.
- • Verdraagt lagere lichtintensiteiten, maar gedijt het beste bij voldoende helderheid
- • Temperaturen tussen 15 en 22 °C bevorderen een gezonde groei en langdurige bloei.
Verzorging en watervereisten
- • Gemakkelijk te onderhouden en ideaal voor zowel beginnende als ervaren tuiniers.
- • Houd de grond constant licht vochtig, zonder dat er wateroverlast ontstaat.
- • Regelmatig, matig water geven – ongeveer elke 7–10 dagen, afhankelijk van de kamertemperatuur
- • Geef tijdens de groeifase elke 4–6 weken een lichte meststof om de bloei te bevorderen.
