De Phoenix canariensis, ook bekend als Canarische dadelpalm, is een majestueuze Kamer- en terrasplant, die direct een vakantiegevoel in huis haalt. Met zijn lange, gevederde bladeren en sterke, robuuste stam roept hij mediterrane landschappen en tropische paradijzen op.

Locatie en lichtomstandigheden
- • Geeft de voorkeur aan zonnige tot halfschaduwrijke plaatsen
- • Ideaal voor lichte interieurs, serres of terrassen
- • In de zomer kan de palmboom ook buiten geplaatst worden – beschut tegen sterke wind.
- • In de winter op een lichte, koelere plek zetten bij ongeveer 10–15 °C
Verzorging en watervereisten
- • Zorg voor een gelijkmatige vochtigheid zonder wateroverlast te veroorzaken
- • Geef in de zomer regelmatig water, in de winter spaarzamer
- • Besproei de bladeren af en toe met water om de luchtvochtigheid te verhogen.
- • Bemest palmbomen van de lente tot de herfst ongeveer elke 4 weken.
- • Verwijder regelmatig dode bladeren om een nette uitstraling te behouden
